Does your ancestry include the name GODDARD or GODARD or GODWARD or one of the many other spelling variations of the name? Are you interested in researching your family tree? You can do this and more when you become a member of the Society. We are so much more than a genealogy resource. Here you can meet people from across North America and the world who share a common interest. Make new friends and lasting friendships through the many activities of our Society.

Three or four times a year, members receive The Goddard Newsletter, filled with interesting stories, Goddard history and genealogy. To see samples of some of the stories go HERE. As a member you have the opportunity to write articles and submit items for publication.

Every two years the Society has a Gathering (convention), held in various cities across the country. These give us wonderful opportunities to meet other Society members and to experience the joy of sharing our family ancestry. To read about past meetings and future plans, visit the GATHERINGS page. We also sponsor trips, including visits to England and other ancestral countries.

St. John the Baptist Church, Inglesham, Wiltshire, England. In this church, in 1627, William Goddard, who married Elizabeth Miles and later emigrated to America, was baptized. The font remains. Site visited on ancestral trips in 1995 and 2001.

We are MUCH MORE than a historical and genealogical society. WE ARE A FAMILY. A family made up of people with like interests, helping each other in the search for ancestors and working together to preserve our Goddard heritage, as well as sharing information about contemporary Goddards.

We invite members to actively participate in the activities of the Society by serving as committee or board members, as officers, and by contributing items for the Newsletter. Be part of the GH&GS!
