The society sponsors a Gathering (convention) every two years. These meetings are both educational and fun and are part of our tradition. Recent Gatherings have been held in Des Moines, Iowa (1996), San Antonio, Texas (1998), Portland, Oregon (2000), Nashville, Tennessee (2002), St. Louis, Missouri (2004) and Hartford, Connecticut (2006). The 2008 Gathering has been moved to 2009.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. Make plans to attend the next GATHERING of the GODDARD HISTORICAL AND GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY which will be held at PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE, in JUNE 2009 (exact dates will be announced). This famous family vacation destination lies in sight of the Great Smoky Mountains about 20 miles southeast of Knoxville in eastern Tennessee, and features numerous attractions of interest to all ages. Work is in progress to make this one of the best Gatherings ever!
